I bringeth cupcakes! I wish I had a larger ziploc bag. My hand was melting the frosting and the bag was just too small.
Red Velvet cupcakes topped with Buttercream frosting. I wish I had a really cute stand. )
I'll be watching documentaries on Netflix and somehow trying to make sense of an Avenger/MGS mashup/crossover that I wanna write.

This is a book post. Gonna go to the library today. This is my list.

The Siren by Tiffany Reisz
The Siren is a modern-day retelling of My Fair Lady with uptight English literary fiction editor Zachary Easton as an unwilling Professor Higgins and well-known wild child Nora Sutherlin as his erotica-writing Eliza Doolittle. Zach only has six weeks left at Royal House New York before he heads to Los Angeles to take over as Chief Managing Editor at Royal West. When his boss orders him to help Nora Sutherlin rewrite her latest novel, Zach agrees to work with her only if he is given complete control over the fate of her book. If Nora doesn’t rewrite it to his satisfaction in six weeks, Royal won’t publish it.

Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You by Peter Cameron
It’s time for eighteen-year-old James Sveck to begin his freshman year at Brown. Instead, he’s surfing the real estate listings, searching for a sanctuary—a nice farmhouse in Kansas, perhaps. Although James lives in twenty-first-century Manhattan, he’s more at home in the faraway worlds of Eric Rohmer or Anthony Trollope—or his favorite writer, the obscure and tragic Denton Welch. James’s sense of dislocation is exacerbated by his willfully self-absorbed parents, a disdainful sister, his Teutonically cryptic shrink, and an increasingly vague, D-list celebrity grandmother. Compounding matters is James’s growing infatuation with a handsome male colleague at the art gallery his mother owns, where James supposedly works at his summer job but where he actually plots his escape to the prairie.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

Bunheads by Sophie Flack
As a dancer with the ultra-prestigious Manhattan Ballet Company, nineteen-year-old Hannah Ward juggles intense rehearsals, dazzling performances and complicated backstage relationships. Up until now, Hannah has happily devoted her entire life to ballet.

But when she meets a handsome musician named Jacob, Hannah's universe begins to change, and she must decide if she wants to compete against the other "bunheads" in the company for a star soloist spot or strike out on her own in the real world. Does she dare give up the gilded confines of the ballet for the freedoms of everyday life?

More books under the cut. )

Signed up for [livejournal.com profile] marvel_bang. A little nervous. It's avenger-based. Guess I should go see the movie, huh? Nah. I like my ideas untainted, lol. Doctor's appointment at 9:30am. It takes two hours. Great.

Here's #14!

Fic: Agar Saer
Summary: Victimized by his estranged and abusive uncle, Legolas doesn't know where to turn for help. With his father's kingdom falling into darkness, he finds comforting support in a young Lothlórien officer who may be the only one to aid the Greenwood.

I don't know what to say other than read it. And FEEL.

I'm feeling a little bit better. Not throwing up as much - hurray. I've also been trying to stay positive about things but sometimes that's kinda hard. Know what I mean? Also, I'm gonna start writing more once everything calms down around school. I have like 14 days left. This is what my exam schedule looks like: Though, I'll be taking that Monday final this Friday instead. I also have my Biology LAB final this Tuesday. I need to get to working on that study guide. Along with Spanish flashcards for present progressive tense and imperfect tense. #sigh. Do any of you lovely persons like to text (US only)? I'd love company.

exam below. )
For those of you that can't see it's BIO and ice skating on tuesday and Spanish on Thursday night.
